Methodology
Every number on this site is a direct aggregation of kill events from the official game API - nothing is hand-ranked. This page defines each metric precisely.
What does punching up mean?
A fight where the enemy had at least 100 more average item power (IP) than you. Winning while punching up is the strongest signal a weapon carries on its own merits rather than on gear. Punching down is the reverse: you had the 100+ IP advantage.
How is winrate calculated?
Kills divided by kills plus deaths for the weapon or build, under whatever filters are active. Every kill event provides one win (the killer's weapon) and one loss (the victim's weapon).
What is Perf (adjusted winrate)?
The lower bound of the Wilson score interval of the winrate. It answers: given this sample size, what winrate can we be confident in? A consistent 60% over 300 fights outranks a lucky 3-0, and thin samples stop dominating the rankings.
What is kit value?
The median market value of the equipment players were wearing when they died in a build, priced from Albion Online Data Project sell orders. Median, not mean, so one juiced set does not distort the number. Inventory is excluded from kit value (it counts toward loot value in the kill feed).
How are 1v1, gank and ZvZ classified?
1v1: one participant on the kill and the killer was not grouped. Gank: a group of 2-9 involved. ZvZ: 10 or more involved. The classification uses the larger of the participant count and the killer's group size reported by the game API.
Where does the data come from?
The official Albion Online gameinfo API for all three servers (Americas, Europe, Asia), polled continuously. The API keeps no deep history, so statistics cover events ingested since the site started running. Market prices come from the Albion Online Data Project.
Are the rankings editorialized?
No. There are no hand-picked tiers and no opinion layer. Every table is a direct aggregation of kill events; the only editorial choices are statistical (minimum sample floors, the Wilson adjustment) and they are documented here.
